FOLK is continuing to offer opportunities to
purchase pavers which will be added to the walkway of the main entrance
of the Kingwood Branch Library. You may choose to purchase pavers by
contacting Carolyn Humphrey at 281.360.5844 or ask one of the
Librarians for a brochure. The cost is $150.00 per paver. The
inscription may be one, two, or three lines, with a maximum of sixteen
characters per line, including spaces. Purchasing pavers is a lasting
way to honor or remember your loved ones or to show your own love of
reading. FOLK thanks you for your support of the new library.

Opportunities abound to make a lasting contribution to the new
Kingwood library in the tradition of community spirit and commitment:
-
Shop in the FOLK used bookstore, ( click here)
which provides an awesome selection of books at bargain prices. All
money spent in the bookstore benefits the Kingwood library.
-
Become a member of FOLK ( click here for online forms) and receive a 10% discount on all items purchased in the store.
-
Donate to the Bookstore. ( click here
for acceptable donations) The bookstore has been so successful that
there’s a continual need for donations, especially cookbooks and travel
books. Donate used books, CDs, DVDs and current magazines to be sold
in the store. FOLK also operates a highly successful online used book
sales program on Amazon, which adds even more value to the generous
donations of the community. It’s like recycling for profit for the
library.
-
Donor bookplate
recognition allows you to make a lasting memory or honor someone such
as a friend, family member or special pet. Purchase a reference book
for the library for $50 or an adult or children’s book for $25.
-
Engraved pavers,
available for $150, serve as permanent commemorative icons and enhance
the main walkway, front entrance and garden area. Inscriptions can be
three lines with 16 characters per line, including spaces.
-
Cash Donations, You can contribute cash directly to FOLK by picking up a donation form in the bookstore, filling out our online form, and either sending in a check, or using our online donation button below. The names of major contributors of $1000, $2500 and $5000 are
commemorated on the permanent donor recognition wall in the front
lobby.
-
Name a room in the library
with a contribution of $10,000-$50,000. This is a great way to make a
long-lasting tribute and publicly honor an individual or a group of
contributors. An engraved nameplate will enhance the door of the room.
-
Donate when you buy at Randalls or Krogers.
Randalls offers a program that contributes to FOLK for every $50 in
groceries you spend. Kroger has a similar program. We have forms in
our bookstore you can pick up to have our charity's number scanned into
your Kroger card. To find out more, click on the image below.
Drop by the FOLK bookstore, located at the front entrance to the
library, to pick up more information about ways to give or call
281-360-5844 or 281-360-5261.
Gifts to FOLK, a 501(c)(3) organization,
are tax-deductible. Any contribution will make a positive and lasting
